17-4PH and similar PH grades: machine in Condition A, then heat treat, then grind critical surfaces. Through-hardened steels: often rough machine, heat treat, then finish machine to account for distortion.

Yes — Rockwell or Vickers hardness test reports included with every heat-treated batch. Furnace temperature charts available on request.
