Surface Finishing

Laser Marking & Engraving

Non-contact fiber laser marking creates permanent serial numbers, logos, barcodes, and UID marks — essential for medical device UDI, aerospace traceability, and inventory control without mechanical stress on the part.

Process Overview

Traceability

Serial numbers, lot codes, Data Matrix, QR, and human-readable text per your quality plan or FDA UDI requirements.

Annealing vs Engrave

Annealing mark on stainless — dark contrast without material removal. Deep engrave on aluminum for high-wear labels.

Post-Finish Marking

Mark after anodize or passivation when specified — we control power to avoid coating penetration issues.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will laser marking affect anodizing?

We can mark after anodizing using low-power annealing on aluminum, or engrave before anodize and allow dye to fill — specify your preference.

Can you mark curved surfaces?

Flat and lightly curved surfaces up to ~30 mm focal depth variation. Highly curved parts may need fixture design — send geometry for review.

Do you provide serialization files?

We mark from your CSV/Excel serial list or generate sequential numbers per your format. Certificate of marking available on request.
